EXPERIENCE

Current Highlights:

Current project, with team at Sesame Workshop, production of teacher reading guides for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. A SEL reading program for Pre-K. Interactive pdfs were created in Adobe InDesign. Graphics were created for the online version of the program. This project has been evolving over four years with design and concept updates made after user reviews.

Recent projects  Working with the team at EL Education to create teacher and student support material for their new ELA Common Core aligned program. In 2020, the entire project was reworked for an online presence. With the team, helped in all areas of digital production to create a zoom friendly teaching program. Other recent projects centered around Squarespace websites for multiple clients.

Other past projects included Freelance Design and Production with a Senior Designer in the Children and Young Teen category for Scholastic Books; with an Art Director designed and produced a 104 page book on the UAE’s panel on Women, Peace and Security; Freelanced for a studio working on the Memphis City School district grant for $90 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to create the Teacher Effectiveness Initiative. With team, created web graphics, and other items for team visibility. Created materials for end of project celebration, banners, invitations, press material and powerpoint presentation.

FREELANCE Desktop Publishing, Print/Web/Video Graphics, Web Development and Production, Slide Show Presentations and Training in Adobe Creative Suite environment. Clients include: EL Education, Sesame Workshop, Scholastic Books, DC Comics, W.W. Norton, Disney Publishing, Room to Read, MacMillan-McGraw Hill, and more.

Programs: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Word Press, Squarespace, Wix, and Email Marketing Programs.

PAST FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT

MANHATTAN VILLAGE ACADEMY  43  W. 22nd St. New York, NY, 10010  Ceramics Art Instructor in Functional Pottery for high school students. Techniques taught include pinch pots, slab building, coil pottery and throwing on a pottery wheel.

SCHOLASTIC INC.  400 Lafayette Street, NY, NY 10004  Desktop Production Design Digital production for “Instructional Program Group” division of children’s book publisher.

CURRICULUM CONCEPTS  627 Broadway, NY, NY 10012  Supervised: 4-color Math Textbook Project.

ART CONNECTION  505 Eight Avenue, NY, NY 10018Art Instructor JHS 164 alternative teaching program developed to send artists into public schools to teach specialized art programs. Fine Art Printmaking techniques were taught.
